Editorial policy
Honest Garden Guide aims to make gardening information clear, careful, and useful without overstating what general guidance can do. We explain our reasoning, identify uncertainty, and correct errors openly.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual claims against suitable sources and make the limits of general advice clear. Gardening outcomes can depend on local weather, soil, plant varieties, and conditions; we avoid presenting a single approach as universal when those differences matter. We do not claim to have tested a product or method unless the article clearly says so and the work was actually done.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for reader relevance, not as a condition of payment or promotion. Any paid, sponsored, or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable treatment or editorial approval.
Corrections and illustrations
If an article contains a material error, we review the concern and update the text when warranted, making significant corrections clear to readers. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary photographs or evidence.
Notice first. Choose with care.
Gardening gets easier to understand when you observe before acting. We favour clear explanations and choices sized to the garden you have.
